New internet now able to access TradeDoubler again

Sunday, May 4th, 2008

After a long period of not being able to log into my Tradedoubler account due to having moved address and the wireless broadband I was using there was getting an access not allowed error every time, and I wasn’t willing to try public computers every day to keep things running, I have finally been able to get access today with a new provider for my internet access.

So now I can get back into working with the links and programs I use through this site and to keep an eye on things, and try and get things sorted affiliatewise. Obviously Im always doing far too many things at once but this time I will try and make more of an effort to do something decent with Tradedoubler, once I have finished my other little projects I’m working on at the moment taking up my time of course.

limboInternet.gooruze.com

Okay so I have just signed up to a new site which appears to have a lot of articles from a variety of blogs on many matters internet related.  Obviousely as I have just signed cant do a meaningful review just yet, but will update later.  Does seem like a good place to get information on the sector to stay up to date.  Also they have a competition for free adwords credit for its users.

Will keep an eye on the site and update this review accordingly.  I advise you to check it out for yourself to, even just to enter the chance of winning all that adwords credit.

Of course I still believe good old a4u wins in affiliate communities thusfar.

The difference between mlm and affiliate marketing

Tuesday, December 11th, 2007

Okay so not many people seem to see any difference and see affiliate marketing as a dirty word in comparison because all of these get rich quick, mlm and pyramid schemes.  The things where you pay a nominal fee, recruit others to pay a nominal fee, probably for some useless thing, just to earn commission from selling the product to people who don’t want it, and hope that they can earn from a scheme which ultimately relies on a limitless amount of people, when it is doomed to failure from the start, only guaranteeing the creator of the scheme a profit.

Affiliate marketing on the other hand is quite different, although some of these schemes will try to make out they’re affiliate marketing thus sullying the name further.   Real affiliate marketing, in simple terms is where an individual is a freelance sales person, they do not get paid a salary by a company, but instead increase sales to whatever companies they choose to market by simply creating good quality sites which add value or functionality in some way to encourage further visitors to purchase the products.  They may work through a variety of different methods from pay per click, seo, you get the idea.

What people miss is that affiliate marketing is working to create sales for big name companies, some affiliates even sell through high street shops. They’re not get rich quick schemes, they involve hard work to create a user friendly value adding site which will attract the customer to purchase a product through a trusted site.

I will write more later, busy stuff to do etc, just wanted to get this out there.
